The Last of Us™ PS5

Hired to work within the Global Marketing and Communications team for all design aspects of The Last of Us franchise for the PlayStation 5 remake and Part II remaster as the Franchise Art Director and Lead Brand Designer. This would encompass a slew of marketing assets and imagery, magazine cover designs, cross-promotional placement, branding for trailers, global Out-of-Home (OOH), Brand guidelines for the new generation version, and the development of multiple marque key imagery. Along with various products and merchandise developed to further support the brand.


Additionally, this position worked intimately with the Global Sony Interactive Entertainment teams; marketing, partnerships, legal, hardware, licensing, creative services, c-suite and senior leadership, and international offices. If projects needed additional management with external contract and vendor relations, those responsibilities were handled as well.

As a crucial team member collaborating with the production team for HBO’s The Last of Us, I played an instrumental role in the early stages of production and pre-visualization. Regular meetings were held to directly educate the production team on the brand and franchise treatment. This included emphasizing specific key iconography such as the Firefly symbol or Ellie’s graphic T-shirt, detailing distinct traits of infection design, and articulating our unique world brand language that sets our post-pandemic world apart from others. This also include colloborate strategy between HBO and Naughty Dog to release early images and stage announcement together; like the first image from the show that went to Vanity Fair and Summer Game Fest for the Neil Druckmann directed episode.


HBO’s The Last of Us received 8 Emmy wins and 24 nominations , including Outstanding Production Design for A Narrative Contemporary Program.
